Department of Commerce Announces Finalization of CHIPS R&D Award with GlobalFoundries
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Commerce announced the signing of a final award of up to $375 million to GlobalFoundries under the CHIPS and Science Act. This award provides funding towards R&D to support the establishment of a secure, domestic quantum foundry that will serve multiple quantum architectures and modalities, as well as R&D related to differentiated capabilities in cryogenic CMOS process design kits, advanced packaging and heterogenous integration.
